Header Question..
Header Question..
Sorry I'm not able to do a search.
I've been seeing members on here that have Aftermarket headers on thier Maximas. My question is..Do they offer better HP? I think there was a tread a good while ago that showed a dyno chart of a before and after with stock and aftermarket headers. As I recall it wasn't much gain whats so ever. I think it was like 5hp if that. Or was I reading the tread wrong. Is this something that if your boosted you'll notice dramatic differences? I like the looks of them, but price and installation wise is it really worth it?
Isn't it better to just insulate your exhaust system by wrapping it with some high temperature material?
Thanks,

On custommaxima.com is has it described as..
Fabricated from carbon steel and ceramic coated by HPC inside and out for corrosion resistance and power-making thermal containment.
Fits 1995-2003 Maximas, I30s and I35s; installation on 1999-2001 vehicles with CA/NLEV emissions and all 2002-2003 vehicle requires relocation of two O2 sensors.
Power increases up to 20hp over stock on 190hp engines, more on 225hp and VQ35DE engines; power gains across rpm band. $825.00
Redlinemax has them for $799.00
Does anyone have dyno charts showing these gains?
