I am looking into replacing my stock rotors, and for the price of OEM it seems that I could get something better. What do you recommend as far as high performance/slotted rotors at a decent price? Dot 4 brake fluid suggestions?

Thanks,

Dan

PS, everyone thanks for your input, I am working towards a lot of work on my max, and you all are very helpful

For performance.... just get a set of good brake pads such as the Porterfields... especially if you don't need to get new rotors (you can turn them if you have sufficient material left and they aren't damaged).

The rest is just for looks for the most part...

Chunger what do you mean by turning them? Do you mean simply slide the rotors out, flip them and reinstall?

What he means is that the shop will put them on a lathe and cut away some material so that the surface is even across the face of the rotor, so the pads will bed themselves properly.

You have to admit that cross drilled and vented rotors keep the pads cleaner and cooler than stock tho.
