Weird Flywheel ?

I don't know if anyone has already asked this, but I definitely got tired of searching for the answer.

Can we use the flywheel for the VQ35 on the VQ30?

If anyone asks me why; I say: "The output shaft on my tranny kind of output a little too much, into my clutch and flywheel. The flywheel and ring gear, and secondary ring gear assemblies are now in many pieces. The only way I can get a performance flywheel with both ring gears is from JWT for the 02+ Maxima/Altima V6. The only other place that sells ring gears is the Nissan dealerships who suck monkey nuts and have it pre-packaged on the flywheel for an insane cost, especially considering that it will cause my car to go slower now. And if you're running a slow 14.2 in the 1/4, you don't want to go slower!"

And also, when it comes to Maxima parts from Junkyards, I think I'm going to stay away from that. I'm on MT #4.

Tried that too. No Nissan dealership, or OEM distributor can sell just the secondary ring gear, for it is packaged with the flywheel straight from Nissan. Therefore anyone else making OEM parts sells both together.

I'm on the phone with JWT right now to see if I can use the VQ35 flywheel on hte VQ30.

And I need a flywheel and starter ring gear too... because they are also shattered.

I bet if you just bought another used flywheel that included the ring gear, it wouldn't be that expensive.

Eh. I just talked to JWT. They aparently JUST came out with a flywheel for the 95-01 Max, so that's on my way to my house right now. Should have it on Monday. And that comes fully complete with all plates, ring gears, and obviously the rebuildable flywheel with multiple friction surfaces. *big grin*

Thanks for the help guys. I guess I finally just solved my own problem... after 4 months. Ugh.
