Are you replacing just the ball joints, or the lower control arm? I'm planning on replacing my LCAs soon!

im putting in es bushings...still. i am a lil more than halfway done, but i thought might as well replace the ol ball joints too. im not replacing the whol lcas, as mine are a lil rusty but in pretty good overall shape. i hope the stay that way when im done taking the ****ing balljoints out. word to the wise: spray penetrating oil on the balljoint way prior to removing them. they are comparable to the cat converter bolts.

Are you repalcing your inner tie rod ends? I have excessive play in the steering & was wondering if you're only doing the ball joints/es bushings?

Wait, you're trying to pull a balljoint from the LCA with a picklefork? You need a press or balljoint tool. (Incidentally, they're on sale at HarborFreight for $30)

I did find the pushing the balljoint out of the knuckle took some hefty leverage on the picklefork - I needed to use my jackhandle on it. Definitely needed the PB Blaster.
