Removing paint from interior plastic

A friend of mine had his interior plastic peices painted and he wants to remove the paint now. Is there some sort of stripper that will work for this? He had everything painted, even the plastic cup thing to hold onto when closing your door, so sanding would be really tough. Thanks

acetone will melt then too. either way theyll need to be re sprayed a satin trim black, either trying to sand it down to plastic or trying to strip them chemically, but chemicals if used wrong can cause a reaction with the paint, so you would be stuck buying them anyways. if the paint isnt too thick just take the shine off and respray them
