Best free mod?
I bring this up cus i just hacked my airbox, and it was so simple and quick to do, and the difference in sound is awesome! It sounds more throaty and ballsy now.. I didnt have a CAI or anything beforehand, obviously. This would probably be my favorite free mod (other than red/clear's...well free more or less)...
Anyone else have a favorite free mod??

hmm my favorite? well i cut the dimmer on the clock which was sweet, but only because i whited it out so i guess thats not tottaly free. Oh, today i debadged my trunk, makes a huge difference and is practically free - fishing line and tar and bug remover.

i asked this a while ago but never got a clear response....doesnt shaving the trunk lid make the spot where the letters/burger was stand out because it hasnt been in the sun for so many years? people say use goo gone on it, but i dont know how that would match the difference in paint

where my "Burger" used to be there is a noticeable, if your looking for it, paint difference. ive used rubbing compound and goo gone, tar and bug remover. Its just like, the paint "oxidized" differently.

I read from another thread that you could use a simple big eraser [Magic Rub is hte one I used] you buy at any office store. Rub the area down really good with the eraser, wash, rub, wash, polish it up real nice and a nice coat of wax. I don't see a thing. and you can see anything different on a black car.

Free? Hmm... Let's see:
Remove spare for weight - or
Flip it upside down for more storage!
Pull off wiper blades and reinstall them lower/hidden under the hood.
Chop/lower auto shifter (haven't done it yet but hopefully all will go well)
Shave trunk emblems
Remove the immitation mud flaps
Ptatohed's back seat fold-up mod (oh sorry to tease, I'm still writing it )
Remove front license plate/frame
Flip your corner/clearance bulbs 180^ so they light up at 27 Watts
Add outside Temp display if you have a '98 with ACC (might cost you a button)
Any weight reduction.
There must be more...

A few years ago I attempted to make our back seats fold down (like the Accord, Camry, etc.). Well, it just won't work. However, I devised a way for the seat to fold/flip "up". As in the bottom of the rear vertical seat swivels up towards the front seat head rests while the top of the rear vertical seat swivels around the back shelf. I know I have been slacking on finishing the write-up but I will do it soon. Very nice for transporting large items.
As for the wipers, picture a many-sided star. That's how our wipers fit on the wiper arm. Just undo the bolt, pull the wiper straight off the wiper arm, rotate it to any degree you want (in increments of the "star sides") put it back down and tighten the bolt. I rotated them ever so slightley just so they stay hidden under the hoodline when in the off/down postion. Looks and aerodynamics, I suppose. Did I make sense? Place a little marking on the wiper and wiper arm so you can always put them back to stock.
