Anyone replacing their clutch any time soon?

I just replaced my clutch on my 98 max se. I almost did all the work except putting the transmission back on. I did like it says in the "How to's" link, but I didn't take off the motor mount. So you don't really have to take off the motor mount; just more time and trouble to go through. This is the first clutch I have ever replaced. My replaced parts were for a 2000 max that someone recommended that I should try putting a 5th generation pressure plate. I just ordered a 2000 kit because it is all the same size. Now it has a huge bite on the clutch. It feels brand new. My point is that you don't have to go through the trouble of taking off the motor mounts, for anyone who cares. Thanks.

Good looking out. I plan on doing a clutch and tranny change soon, once I find a decent 5th gen tranny for a good price. Good info to know. Did you kit come with a clutch alignment tool or you uesd anothe technique?

Yea, it came with a clutch alignment tool. I've heard someone using a broom stick. Don't know how that worked.

Which motor mount? I had to remove the front, rear, and driver side mounts on mine.

The front and rear mounts, I didn't have to remove. Tight squeeze for the bottom bolts though. I did of course have to remove the driver's side because it was connected to the transmission.
