Question on SS Brake Lines ?? please read

Alright I did my brakes, pics will be up tomorrow..

I ran into one thing I had a question on..

The Front brakes, when I put my SS lines on through the guided posts that are on front Calipers, the SS Lines seem to rub against the Outer CV Boot, Ultimately rubbing through later on...If I keep it outside of those little Guide posts, the SS lines go straight up and its ok, but down the road I dont know, it may get loose from side to side movement...
My question is, is going through those guided posts on the both LF and RF Caliper that important ??
Do you need to go through those posts to line up the Hole on the banjo Bolt ??

Before I go and Bleed the brakes I want to make sure I have this right...

I would assume that the "guide posts" keep the line from moving back and forth, thus loosening the brake line bolt on the caliper. I would not bypass the "guide posts."

Matty,

Please get some rubber fuel lines to cover your SS lines with around the area where they will rub. The don't need to pass through the feed through area though. Not using another insulator is what contributed to my recent SS line failure. You should probably get some zip ties and zip tie the line down there to prevent any extra movement, after you've insulated it more.

ZIP ties. Those were my best friend when installing my SS brake lines in the front and back. I used the ties to attach the lines to the shocks/struts for stability to prevent movement.

On the fronts, Did you go though those posts right by the brake fluid hole thats on the calipers ??

Well when mine failed the braid was basically weakened...when I slammed on the brakes (someone cut me off) I blew the line on the passenger front. All brake fluid leaked out...since I'm having to replace the Master Cylinder...plus new brake lines as well. My new lines just arrived BTW (Thanks BlehmCo.!!!) and they have all the stock mounting hardware, including the mount for the strut housing which I love!

I don't have stock calipers with my SS lines but the lines SHOULD NOT come anywhere close to the CV boots from what I remember. Putting on "protective" sheaths won't last long if the actually "touch" anything moving especially the CV axle. Don't the lines angle UP and not down?!

Ok I think mine are ok...they dont really come in contact or near anything unless I put the line through those little guide posts, but that is unnatural for the lines to do...

Guys with stock calipers, Do your SS Lines go THROUGh those guide posts or no ??

They are in dead going UP and I do have the mount for the Strut housing as well...I think im ok..Im gonna go ahead and bleed them

Like I stated... that was on my Wilwood calipers but I dug out an old "stock" picture during my swap:

Yea I know...On the stock lines there is a "bar" that comes out right by the banjo fitting that goes between those posts...On the SS Lines there is None...The SS lines just need to be brought UP...
