ya in my quick looks i did not see budget lower then the 210-225 range...
so what do you guys think?
New stainless pipe with with ceramic coating...ie: Jet-Hot / HPC
or is it worth the $10 more for the Warpspeed?

my $0.02 and am overheating now...
you get what you pay for is true but not a fair comparison here.... normally the Warpspeed is in the 200-215 range just like the Budget but the reason the 160 is an options is because of that group deal. And the other one "stainless pipe with ceramic coating" I am very confident is a good deal as well.
I have heard nothing but bees in the can complaints about the Warpspeed y-pipe and I've never heard of the other one. Is it something you buy off Ebay or what? If so, I wouldn't touch it.
I may be biased because I have a Budget y-pipe and have had no bees in the can sound or fitment problem with it whatsover. The US$ has strengthened against the Cdn$ in the past week and is up again today, so the Budget might cost less than what you think in US$ equivalent - more like US$202.
And if you buy the "stainless steel pipe with the ceramic coating" and a magnet won't stick to it, its not stainless steel and I would send it back.
The Budget stainless steel y-pipe is a sight to behold. Why would anyone in their right mind put a ceramic coating over a stainless steel product. It doesn't make any sense to me, but what do I know? Does anyone want to buy a bridge? I've got one for sale.

One thing in this comparision is the WSP is an aluminum pipe in the GD. I've had good experience with a WSP Y-pipe in the past, which is why I made my decision over the others.
All aftermarket Y-pipes have this in common:
-Since the pipes are not equal in length from the front and rear manifold, the engine note as well as the character of the engine becomes raspy and less refined.

With the Budget stainless steel y-pipe you can hear some difference upon startup if you are standing outside the car by the tailpipe, as two pre-cats are removed. When the car is warmed up, there is absolutely no sound difference at idle or cruising believe me. At WOT there is a bit of a growl. I don't like noise, but with my K&N panel air filter and Budget y-pipe, I quite like the sound when I put my foot into it.
I did not want to compromise the quality of my ride, particularly since I've owned the car since new. I don't believe on putting on crappy parts on a near-luxury vehicle.
Good point about the Warpspeed pipe being aluminized. It won't last as long as the Budget SS and the Budget aluminzed y should then be the price comparison.

where is the website for the SS jet-hot y pipe?...are you getting it from a company or getting it from a friend ?? .... a warpseed y pipe is good but if you can get a SS y pipe for about the same price...GO WITH THE SS Y..itll last a LOT longer
No I didn't wrap my Y-pipe. I read that you shouldn't do it because moisture/salt/dirt etc. will be absorbed by the wrap and will corrode and eventually rust out the y-pipe, particularly if its aluminized. Don't wrap exhaust components, leave that to race car drivers - that's what exhaust wrap is intended for, plus its expensive.

There is nothing wrong with the warpspeed non-SS y-pipe. I have it on mine and it's great. I got it with the GD price of 160 shipped.
If you're worried about rust, this is stated on warpspeed's website:
"All of our American made aluminized steel Y pipes come with our exclusive 4 year no rust through warranty."
I also live in cali, so rust is hardly a concern for me anyway.

If you do wrap a stainless steel pipe, don't wrap the flex section. I had mine wraped and took it off around the flex section because I was afraid it would rot.
99% sure I am going to go with the “stainless steel pipe with the ceramic coating” I got all the info on it… its from a friend whom ordered 2 a little while back to save on shipping (one for him and one for another friend… long story short other friend totaled his max and now has the extra)
The complete pipe is stainless excluding the flanges. (Only down side but the pipe is the important part)
And the person I am getting it off of has been running the EXACT same one in his max for 6000 miles and says no rattling, bee sounds…and no problems…
Thank you for all your input guys and for giving me the heads up that the warpspeed was not stainless (unfortunately ewuzh I live in MA… our roads are more salt then asphalt in the winter ;-)
