Ok, don't let this reflect my views on the stock gxe ecu or speeding, really speeding. But....I hear that you can burn out the governor on any Japanese chip if you push the car to its top governed speed for a few minutes a few times in a row. I tried doing this (only for scientific reasons ; ) of course )twice on my car and I haven't had much for results but I did have different top sped...increasing top speeds. I am not bullsh-tting you guys when I say this. This kid who works with his dad at a shop in NYC told me about this trick. If anyoen knows anything more...and I am sure you guys do...can you elaborate on if it is true or not?

considering the car comes OEM with pos H rated tires (I think) it will not allow over a certain amount usually around 115mph.

Perhaps it was wind resistance that caused different speeds. I,m not sure if the MPH are governed or if it,s the RPMs that are governed it top gear.
