FSTB question

I see so many different FSTB's available from $39 all the way up to over $200. Will the custommaxima or otto work just fine ($69) because I would rather not spend all the $$$$ on the cattman or stillen.

ive had both the cheapest ebay bar, and now the most expensive Stillen bar. Same performance, the cheaper bar feels stiffer when you shake it, but doesnt look as good. Stillen's unit is in the way if you work on your suspension alot.

I believe the difference from high to low priced ones is esthetics

If it's the same performance, how would the stillen be better if you work your suspension alot?

They are all pretty much the same. Since they don't do much anyway, you would be VERY hard pressed to be able to feel the difference inbetween any two much less with or without one installed.

every FSTB gives the same exact performace....its all for looks or what exactly its made out of, whether its steel or aluminum...I paid 15 bucks SHIPPED for mine, not 25 .... 15 shipped....and I wouldnt pay a dollar more unless offcourse you want that cool stillen logo for an extra 50 bucks, lol...STILLEN=RIPOFF, OVERPRICED

Thank you guys, excellent info! Glad to see the cheap bars work just fine. I am slowly going to start piecing together suspension mods, so I will start with the FSTB. I hope to eventually get the Tokico Illumina's with springs, rear sway bar, all on 18" offset wheels. Thanks for the great info everyone!

Reread my post. I said it is IN THE WAY. The inner most strut mount nut is blocked by the bolt connecting the bar to the bracket. This makes it a pain in the *** to swap out suspensions. You have to disassemble Stillens FSTB each time. Also the bar did not fit my 98 with the 22mm strut nuts. I hadto swap them with my 96 (iirc) 14mm nuts. Its a huge design flaw. Stillen's unit is nothing but looks.
