Push for those riding stock suspension and bigger wheels: finally killed the 4x4

i'm embarassed when i look at pics of how my car once looked, for so long. i've owned the car going on 4 years and finally changed my suspension. i had a blown rear strut, two actually (which i'm sending in to kyb and hopefully getting credited!) so i bought my suspension off of Nick from the .org. i'm very happy with it and it was all put together and broken in with roughly 6k on it. the springs are h&r's on gr2's and the ride feels great! very happy with it and would highly recomend it to anyone. although i wish i had illuminas because everyone says they're so great, i'm very happy with what i have and hope it lasts for me and continues feeling great. anyways, here is a pic...i know it's not slammed by any means and still has some gap, but it looks great in person and looks like how it should have come from the factory.

here's the embarassing pic, didn't realize how horrible it looked until now:

looks good !!! I'm glad that you like this set up , H&R with GR2 gave me best compromise between lowered look and ride quality of all the previous set ups i've had before.

Nick.

Dropping has to be the best visual mod, not to mention the better handling etc, but you don't know what your mssing till you've been on Illuminas ! Looks awesome

Your car looks much much better now.
I have H&Rs and GR2s as well, but i still have stock honey combs. Glad to hear the ride with bigger rims is still good. I plan to have enough money to get rims by december.

yeah it felt even better on the soft tires i had with my honeycombs...but honeycombs aren't exactly the biggest eye pleaser...only thing i look forward to next winter is my nice riding winter wheels and wondering how the suspension will feel in that weather. i hope it doesn't get as harsh as people say but those who say it are usually on agx or sometime similarly rough.

thanks for the positive feedback everybody!

Finally somebody with H&Rs. Great choice man. That's the setup I went with, except I paired them up with illuminas. Everything about the H&Rs I love. Some here criticize H&Rs mainly because to many it doesn't give a low enough drop. To me, the drop is perfect and I actually don't like anything lower.

Ride quality is also superior to other springs...at least from what I have noticed by riding Maximas with different setups. Yes I know, shocks also do justice. Overall, H&Rs are one of the best springs.

Looks great. Your car is superclean. How does it handle with the H&R's?
