I just trusted the Midas touch!

It was time to deal with the exhaust rattles, having 2 broken hangers and the cracked heat shield. First quote was $350, but of course that was too much (that incl. a new muffler), so I got it done for $93. I think it's worth it, as the exhaust no longer rattles over bumps. I let the pros do the welding, there's only so much I can do myself with my home plumbing kit and MAPP gas!

No, the $350 included the fine for asking him to remove my CAT......

Actually, I got nothing as far as parts goes, except 2 clamps. They rewelded new clamps in place, and welded the Nissan heat shield which could spin freely since it was broken. So $93 was mostly labor to stop the exhaust system from bouncing up and down over bumps. They charge about $250 installed for the rear muffler--mine is all corroded with the outer shell busted open, but it's been that way for 2 years at least.
