Gas smell from airvents

check the fuel hoses on passenger side of engine. they're right behind the timing cover. try to tighten the clamps first, but you may have to replace the 2 short pieces of hose that join the 2 sections of fuel rail. check for the leaks at first startup of the day.

The same thing happened to me. I was leaking fuel from a small hose (1/2 inch wide, about 4-5 inches long) on the drivers' side, just ahead of the throttle and cruise control cables (easily accessible and right on top of everything). I would show you a picture, but I have no digital camera. It is between the cylinders and the air filter.
