starting issue

I bought this 1995 maxima gle about 2 weeks ago with 127,000 miles on it. It has a long hesitation during cold start up. After about 9 hours of cool off time or so. It turns for about 20 seconds before it fires. when it does the rpms sometimes but not all the time jump up and down between 1400 and 250 or so for another 10 seconds or so. I have takin it in for routine maintence, fuel injectors cleaned, all fluid ect. in hope that it may help but hasn't very much.
After it does its hesitation for a while the drive is smooth and problemless for the rest of the day until the next morning. I am thinking it is the ignition sequence but am not for sure. if anyone can help please do!

i had a similar problem b4. It might be low fuel pressure at start up. check your fuel pressure in the mourning. It might be real dirty fuel filter or your fuel pump is getting lazy.

Checked fuel pressure, pump and filter...all appears to be good. It just doesn't make sense with all the things that are right what could make it go like this...And it starts like normal after the initial start of the day. thanks for the help though and if anyone gets anymore ideas please say so.

let me ask you a question...when you try to start up the car and you turn the key, do you just hear a click, then nothing?..then you try again, and again until it finally starts?

It doesn't click to answer your question...The starter turns the engine just doen't fire for about 15 seconds...(or about 2 tries of turning the key) all instruments light up and work. And when it starts up for the first time of the day, after that everything works and starts up just fine for the rest of the day. thanks for your help...anyone else have ideas please post. thanks
