Replaced KS without cutting my hands

I took the upper and lower IMs off. All in all, a two hour job, including properly seating the 00 VI. So for those of you who need to replace your KS but have hands that are too big for the small space or faint at the sight of your own blood, it's not that bad to remove the IMs. My advice would be to label each hose and its corresponding location. Hell, take a pic of the engine bay before you start.

Good Advice, I managed to get my big ass hands in there and change it withouth a cut, Maybe it was first timers luck.

So you were installing the VI and changing the KS or, just reseating your VI make take 2hrs of work?

VI had been installed a couple weeks ago. But reseating it does consume more time than if you were to have the 4th gen upper IM.

Nope. I just torqued it down so it was snug.

I used a magntic pickup tool to put the bolt in place instead of sticking my hand in there. I guess I got lucky. The car sure runs a hell of a lot better now.
