He's an Auto.

Its said the 5th gen trannies (manual) are stronger then the 4th gen ones. I would like to assume its the same for autos but I dont know for sure that the autos bolt up exactly (dont see why not)

but like 2 Da Max says you could get a VB mod which will strengthen the tranny.

There are multiple companies that make them for the 4th gen autos. www.maximumtuning.net, i.e Jeff has a pretty good rep with the maxima.org community, provides a good product from what I've heard, and runs group deals some months. You can get it on discount during one of these, regular I believe is 400 dollars, plus core charge/shipping. A company called Mobiltek used to make VB mods for the 4th gen, I however have heard many negative things about them. But there also seems to be a couple people who are behind that company strongly, and have had no problems with their VBs, or customer service. I'd contact one of those.(not sure on mobiltek site)

I just got my valve body done at maximum tuning yesterday stage 2 plus. I love it i cant wait to go to the track and see what kind of gains i will have. Jeff has a group deal going on a silent one im assuming. 350 installed. shoot him a call www.maximumtuning.net. DO NOT unplug ur trans resistor. It makes the pump run at full line pressure through all gears. even reverse and puts too much stress on the trans.

just doing the VB mod isnt going to be enough for a turbo.. you'd maybe get 2 months out of the auto. You basically have to built the tranny if you want it to stand up to that kind of power.

If you are just doing bolt-on mods though, a tranny cooler and VB mod is fine.
