Catback question...

Ok, I have a 95-96 catback (warpspeed resonated bpipe, and stillen muffler)... A guy with a 98 wants to trade me his stock exhaust for my catback. What exactly are the differenes between the 95-96 catbacks, and the 97-99 catbacks???? Will a stock 97-99 catback fit on my 96??
Thanks,
Michael

why would u trade your aftermarket catback for a stock catback which has that restrictive b-pipe?

hes trying to switch w/ me bc hes selling his car and most people (besides us enthusiasts) dont care about or want the noise of a catback. Come on, someone's gotta know the answer to this.

enjoyincubus - hows that superflo?

i think the main issue will be the location of the O2 sensor

some slight modification would be needed to make the stock exhaust work, same with putting the 96 custom catback on a 98

the 97-99's 3rd O2 sensor is located in that little foot long or so pipe behind that cat. im told that the aftermarket b-pipe from a 96 should fit my 98, but there has been questions raised about whether my stock 98 will fit his 96 bc i dont think he has that little pipe behind the cat. should this make a big difference when it comes to fitment (around the axle or anywhere?)

The extra hole for the O2 in 97-98 maximas can be plugged with a spark plug.

good... till i stomp on it, makes a bit of a raspy noise after 6000 rpm, and to answer your question... i think the 97-99's have slightly longer catbacks

mine does the same thing and im sure its because of a faulty gasket at the cat which is allowing a leak. im putting a new one on in a few weeks so ill let you know how it goes.
