Hi

I am thinking of buying this y-pipe that needs a new flex section. The seller told me that I could take it an exhaust shop and get it replaced? Is this true? How much would this cost? Where could I get this done?

Please let me know that way I can either buy it or pass on it!!!!!

I'd pass on a y-pipe that needs work done. Y-pipe is subjected to a lot of stress and you can buy a new one for 160-200 shipped. That's with a warranty!!

Its best not to go cheap here. Just buy a brand new one. Saves you the headache and you have a warranty.

Flex-sections run roughly $70-$100 for the part alone which can be purchased at an exhaust shop. I would save the time by just buying a new Y-pipe.
