Codes/No Cat???

I got the following codes and my mechanic told me it was because I didnt have a catalytic converter:

P0420
P1446 (twice)
P0450 (twice)

I was wondering if the last two had anything to do with me not having a cat.

The only problems I notice about my car is that it doesnt start up right away sometimes and sometimes when i accelerate the car hesitates.

Anybody have any clue or confirmation????

thanks,

JOn

P0420 0702 Three Way Catalyst (right bank)
P1446 0705 EVAP system ignorance
P0450 0704 EVAP control system pressure sensor

The first one is definitely because of the test pipe. The last two is EVAP BS. If a real cats fixes the other two then it would be amazing but unlikely.

i didnt think a straight cat would throw any codes, unless the o2 sensor wasn't plugged in.

The point of the rear O2 sensor is to detect if the cat is in place. The ecu compares the signals from the front two to the rear to make sure that the cat is holding some oxygen or something.

How differently the ECU reacts when it thinks there's no rear cat vs when there is?
