automatic transmission locking differential or non-locking differential ?

automatic transmission locking differential or non-locking differential ?

Im trying to get a new transmission for my car but they keep asking me if i need a locking differential or non-locking differential can anyone shed some light on what that means ? Does that mean limited slipping ?

your car should be non locking diffs.

Yes...locking = limited slip

You most likely have a non-locking transmission. If you're getting a new one, you might as well get one with the VLSD and replace the driver-side axle. The VLSD transmissions are often *cheaper* than the open-diffs.
