interior light relay

any help on this matter would be great thanks.

basically my driver side courtesy light is not coming on even though there is a new bulb in there, yet the passanger side light comes on as does the dome light when the any door is open. I spliced into the ground wire on the driver side and connected a ground wire to a bolt inside teh door the light lit up yet it would nto shut off when i closed the door

The fuse should be okay since the other door light is working correctly. But, if you didn't already check it then I would suggest checking it. Could be a beat-up BCM like in my piece. I don't know what fuse it is. Just check on the fuse door by your left knee.
The BCM is the body control module. I think it is located in the center console under the radio. (correct me if i am wrong.) There also is a BCM relay in the trunk near the latch. You access this relay when doing the "alarm beep mod."

HAHA I knew it was a joke. How's life treatin' you down there? Welcome to the "My Interior Lights Don't Work Club". I need to buy a $900 BCM to fix my interior problem. Oh, I'll snap a picture for you tomorrow. I'll be installing and amp and need to get behind the CD Player...

Did you? Refresh my memory...
I played basketball with a kid from Shelton (I think) a few years back. He was nasty.
I tried making my key ring light blue by putting an LED in there. The negative and positive touched when I stuck the LED prongs in there and I shorted something out. Dealership said it was the BCM. So my keyring light doesn't work at all and my dome light doesn't turn on when I open my doors...

do you mind sharing nismo on this alternative pwering i would apreciate it
Interesting.. I'm having the same problem as sterling.
I went to change the bulb in the driver side door last week and it suddenly stopped working altogether.
passenger side door and dome still work. very weird..
I checked the driver side door connections with a multimeter and got about 9v. Apparently not enough to light the bulb.
The passenger side reads about 13.5v
Still looking for the cause / solution for this..
