FINALLY I HAVE 95-96 Red Clears!

I have been searching for almost 3 years now to find a nice set of clears to Red/Clear...I bought a set of redclears that were garbage before and I thought that my only chance to ever get them was to hound this kid on campus who had all clears on his car. Well he JUST sold his car, (after 3 years of me hounding him to sell me his lights) and he let me have the all clears...for my stockers.....

i know..

well here's the pictures, i still need to get some better pictures and get some wax on the lights so they buff up to a nice shine...lemme know what you guys think.

I bought mr cleans magic eraser to clean my taillights but it said "wheel and tire" on them. I'm assuming people just use it for taillights despite its specified use on the box. The guy at walmart said they didn't make it for anything else (the magic eraser) so that's what I bought and that's what I've heard people say works good. But itd be nice to know from someone with experience.

Do not use that on plastic it is abrasive and will scratch the plastic. Use plastic polish u can get it at pep boys or autozone.

Lucky you. I just said forget it after I heard the prices red/clears for 96's were going so I did the 97' rear conversion instead. Very worth it.

Wow, why would you not want to keep the Red/Clears. I will talk money with you, but Im guessing I need to post more to gain that priveledge. Everything Ive tried doing with posts so far has told me I dont have priveledge, I feel like a little kid lol.

ANT: Hmm, no. I think they came out really good. I'd be interested to know what doesnt look that good on them...keep in mind those pictures were right after I finished them before plastic pollish etc. and in bad lighting.

and I'm thinking about selling them because it bugs me to have 300$ sitting on the back of my car. I dunno - so if the offer of 250$ is legit I guess we start bidding there.

Not to mention if you got rear ended, god forbid. You'd be down and out 2 ways.

You sound fortunate to even already have had a set. Why couldn't you just fix the ones that are 'garbage'?

the ones that were "garbage" were broken in half horizontally, and the paint was mismatched and would not strip. I tried everything, but in the end I just had to throw them out...it killed me.

WhyTF do you think they call it an abrasive? Like I can see the scratches on my lights after I used it once. Really cleaned them off good. I used it on my interior vinal. Vinal = plastic

No way. I have red/clears on my '96 and I appreciate/enjoy them way more than the red/clears on my '99. They're not as special on a '97/'99.

Besides the red should be on the bottom darn it. :I

I'm lost. Isn't this whole thread about how excited he was to have red/clears? Then all of a sudden 'Still for sale'??
