Air leak

Could a possible air leak somewhere in one of the tubes connected to the air intake possibly cause the Knock Sensor code to go off? I know when my MAF blew the knock sensor code was thrown. Stupid question...but it could be a possibility

Anything's possible, but highly unlikeky. And if you keep getting your KS code, hence when the maf blew, and now again for no apparent reason, odds are, you need a KS. When my maf went, it did not throw a KS code .. just FYI

im curious...how often does the maf sensor go? and because of what? it seems as though the wires inside are well enough isolated and stuff...

reason i ask is i broke mine (dont ask) and i replaced it with a used one that looked like ****...but the only one i could get...so im curious wat the future has in store

I also noticed...When I turn off my overdrive and get on the gas, when I put over drive back on...the RPMs seem to jump anywhere from 500-1000 higher than what they were before i hit the button. After about a second of that it shifts....sometimes slightly rough. Any ideas?

^^ That's what it's supposed to do, it's downshifting when you hit the button and turn it off.

No im saying when I turn it on again...thats when the RPMs jump...im well aware that by turning it off it would downshift.
