U can probably roll it forward past 999,999 and start it back off at zero and then go from there

It would take 23.5 days if you put it on jackstands and put something on the pedal so it would go 140 mph. Cruise control won't work at that speed.
Better get comfortable!

well thanks for the help but i called up a few places. they told me to
just put in the one i buy that has around 40,000 miles on it and whenever i sell it, just write how many miles were on the first one and the second one so the true mileage can be figured out.

the speedometer works everynow and then and before the cluster screwed up, i had about half a tank of gas. now its at full, w/o gas added.

I thought i remember hearing somewhere that you can hook up the digital clusters to a square wave function generator and it will increment the mileage. That's worth trying.

you can physically take out the odometer and swap gauges. you may even be able to swap out just the gas gauge out of the bad one this way everything else stays the same. dont ask me how i know though...............................

i was actually thinkin about this during work. got an email from a guy off of ebay sayin this:

"very easy to do. the cluster can be split in 3. the last section, you will have to remove the needle(easy instructions), then remove the gauge overlay, then remove the 2 screws on the front plate, and then remove the front plate. then turn it over and remove the 4 screws on the back. then the odo will slide out."

i can get one on wednsday for $85 or wait for about 4-5 days for the cluster i saw off of ebay goin for $15.99 biddin to end then wait another 3-4 days for it to ship.
i am not a patient guy though...
