LED gauges

I saw a while back someone used these blue LED bulbs that plugs into the gauges. My brother didn't want to get Indiglo gauges so he was looking into this option. Does anyone know where to get thses?

My friend bought some double-wedge blue LED's a while ago, but he totalled that maxima, so I'm going to buy them off him along with his white gauges and put them in. He bought them at a local performance shop. Your best bet is ebay or superbrightleds.com

u find them at superbrightleds.com. u get the 194 replacement inverted wedge LEDs. u can get them whatever color u want. there are 5 bulbs that light up the guages, so u wanna get 5 replacement LEDs. it took me less than 30 min to change and put back together. cost was like 10$

Nothing has to be modified in order to do this on the circuit? You're telling me I could just buy 194 wedge LEDs and put them behind the gauge?

Mid Dome= DE3175 and I think same goes for the front one but dont take my word on it. The dome size is 100% right I just changed it last week for some white xenon type bulb from autolumination.com (good side for this kind of stuff)

Correct. 194 LEDs are plug and play. literally. they are polar tho. i put the bulbs in when i was in my garage in the dark. i left the guages connected to the power supply. after i plugged each in i checked to see if it lit up. if it doesnt light up, flip the bulb and put it back in. when u see the bulbs u will understand what im talking about.

Here's a pick of my Blue Gauges 194's from superbrightleds.com these are 4LED's per bulb, I know have 6Led's per but haven't updated my pics yet, there is a camparison with the 1LED per on my domain. You can also put the 194 LED's in your door lights. Sorry they are blurry

lol, it wasnt meant to be harsh... just informative

MAXRB8's guages look good, but have hotspots (not rippin on ur guages). if u get standard LEDs-1, 4 or 6 bulb, u will get hot spots. (hot spots being an area of bright lights then fading, then bright again.) u can see on MAXRB8's guages that its really bright at 2.5k RPM and 7k. but his guages are really bright overall. if u go w/ the single inverted ur guages will be slightly brighter than stock, but will have negligable hotspots.

i just bought some white leds for my 98's gauges and some blues for the signals. it looks awesome. the white leds look pretty blue, but there is definitely a difference between the two. i kinda have some "hot spots" but at night its hardly noticable. i picked up the 6 #74 leds (4 white, 2 blue) from superbrightleds.com for like 10 shipped, i think. i have pics but they turned out really sh!tty, i'll try to get new one tonight

i forgot to mention that my needles are almost invisible now (a really faded dark red), since they are red and the blue fades them out. its becoming more of a problem than i thought. so does anyone have any tricks on how to fix this and make em look red again?

Is it as simple to change the #74 bulbs on my 99 for LEDs as it is for the 194? Can somebody post pics if they have this done to a 98-99?

Thanks

Im puttin this up so yall can see the color. the numbers are lit with white #74 leds, and the signals are blue. sadly this is the best pic i have. my camera is almost dead, and i dont have cash for a new one. the empty spots are where the color fades, but it looks a lot better than these pics.

btw- changing the #74 bulbs is way easy. they twist in and twist out. if you do these leds, remember the are polar, so if they dont light up, psin em 180 degrees and try again, they should work- the bulbs i got were the inverted single led. these are supposed to spread the light better

here's a list of what bulbs are in the gauges

4- gauges (aprox 1 each)
2- signals (1 each)
1- digital odometer
1- brights
1- over drive
5- CEL, oil, seat belt, battery, wiper fluid (1 each)
5- doors, cruise, gas, ABS, e-brake (1 each)

not all cars are equiped with all these options and may not need the bulbs but nissan put bulbs in anyway.

The glow isnt even though...does anybody know how to make it so that there arent spots where its bright and spots where it fades out? I like the look but i'd like it even more if it were all even.

Thanks

like i said the pic does no justice. it does fade a little but nothing to complain about. i don't know how to make it more even, i guess you could mod your gauges to take more leds, that would make them brighter too

u need six bulbs total. if u want the 4/6bulb leds are up to u, but u need SIX total. i recommend the single inverted, like i said in my previous post. uniform color w/ NO hotspots.

BTW, that 220KMH max is real fast. real KMH fast. kmh.
