Interior visors: dye tan to black

I just got a tan visor with homelink but I have a black interior. I was planning to rip the visor apart, but it was so easy to install that I changed my mind. So, now I want to dye the tan visor black. Is this easy to do? OR, could I install the homelink in my black visor somehow?

you can maybe custom fit it.

if you were to dye your sun visor, since it is made out of cloth, the fibers will clump up and look really odd..
