Best springs for 2" drop

Yea, like the title says, I want springs that will give me the best 2" drop in terms of comfort, handling, and performance. Im going to run them with the Tokico Illuminas. So any suggestions and recommendations, post them. Thanks in advance.

I have tein s-techs w/ tokico illuminas. I've got to say, I love the setup and could not ask for anything more for a 2" drop. pics are on my homepage if you want to see.

I believe there are only 2, 2" springs out and s-tech are far better (from what I've heard).

damn mine just came and there sitting in my room waiting to be paired with some struts.

I don't like to talk in terms of drop. I like to talk in terms of distance from tire to wheel well. The Wizard and I just finished installing my Purple Intrax (do they even sell these any more?) and Tokicos last night. It yields a perfect 2 finger gap all around. It is a fairly rough ride though. Handles great.

there is only one company that offers a 2"+ drop which is the tein s-techs. I have them... whatever you do... do not run them on stock shocks/struts. I did it for temporary reasons (wheel gap was too high). If you can save money and get tein basics. I find the 2.2" drop is still not enough.

I've running sprints with AGX for almost 2 years now and am actually in the process of changing to Vogtlands. Should I like Vogtland more, the Sprints would be available

Comfort, handling, and performance on a 2.0" drop usually suck.

Hi everyone, I'm a new Maxima owner for 3 weeks now. Still getting used to it.
I love the powerful engine (stronger than all 4 bangers and most V6's!)
I plan on improving the handling, gear shifting, and the y-pipe of my car. Where can I buy these parts:
S-tech springs and struts?
Short-shifter? Should I even get one? What brand?
Y-pipe?
Plan to tint 10% all around, good idea?

I'm a newbie, and have no tools and experience at installing any car parts but will try my best. Is the short-shifter, spring/stuts, & y-pipe hard to install?
Please reply. Thank you.

short shifter, you will prob go with B&M, just search for that, the y-pipe if you want the aluminized warpspeed has em for 160 shipped, if you want stainless steel, go wil budget for 210-220 shipped. springs and struts, i dont know, just go with coilovers

i have to disagree, handling and performance will not 'suck' if you set it up right, after i swapped in tokicos my car hugs corners like an m3 almost.

Classic uneducated, speculative post. Ever been in a sprint/agx car with 235 or wider tires??

HA please! I have a 2" drop, which is just about identical to sprints, with agx. When going around a corner the bump stops are touched/being compressed and bump steer is showing its ugly face. We do not have the suspension travel to accommodate a 2" drop (with the available mild progressive rate springs) and still fly around corners like we could. I have trimmed bump stops and have checked wheel travel. It is about 3/8" on the down ward stroke. I am lowered about 1" in the rear and there is only about 1" of travel there, WITH upper mounts. Lower is not better. Tire size is irrelevant to suspension travel, but I have 225's and I highly doubt 10 more millimeters is really going bring back my lost suspension travel.

Just so you know I have Eibach springs too and they are far better in terms of everything but looks.

I'll let you in on a secret though. Of you want a low drop and usable travel use 3rd gen. Koni reds in the stock housings. I plan on it in the future.

Why do you guys worry so much about a 2" drop? The car is not even to begin with!!! The stock front wheel gap is way bigger than the rear! You need to lower the front more than the rear!!! (Uneven) - (2" all around) = (still uneven) . My recently installed Intrax/Tokicos give me an even 2 finger (~1.5") wheel well gap all around. What was my drop? I don't know, who cares? As long as the car is 'level' and I like my wheel gap, I'm happy.
