You can do Red, I think Igobuk has Red Gauges. If the Xplod is Red & White, you should just do White Gauges and Red Needles with Red Idiot Lights, Red Cruise Control and Red Overdrive Off.
I had all my window switches done in white except for the Window Lock and Door Lock on the Driver's side, which were done in Red and I love how it looks.

Im still debating on what color to do.. My Xplod Radio has a blueish whitesh screen and all the buttons light up red.. I know my stock needles are red but i dont know how it will look if i do them blue.. my interior is tan and brown.. I think red is my best best since red is sort of a light bright shade of brown somehow. lol..

I'd do the bulbs behind the gauges first. If you like the red then you can move on to the harder controls that use leds.
If it's your first time, changing the gauge bulbs shouldn't take more than an hour.
I've done it so many times it only takes me about 10-15 minutes now.
Once you do the leds in the other controls (climate, window, etc.) there's no going back.
BTW, if you have the manual climate controls, the bulb in the slider **** in the front is real easy to change. Pull off the ****. Use tweezers to pull the little green led out (it's not soldered). Make sure you note which lead is longer (this is the positive lead) and what side it's on. Get a red 3mm led and cut the leads to the same length as the original and push it in. Pop the **** back on.

What LED size are the needles? Im almost ready to order. Im ordering 5 RED (194 LED bulbs) for my gauges. What size is the led in the manual climate control ****, i want to do that red also..

For the manual climate control, 3mm leds will work for the whole conversion.
Only a 3mm will fit in the slider **** and under the buttons.
You only need led resistors for replacing the 3 regular bulbs inside the unit.

There are 3 regular bulbs in the climate control unit that run on 12v power. You'll need to use a resistor on the positive lead of the leds you're using to replace these bulbs.
These regular bulbs are what light up the buttons, fan ****, and slider bar.
The green and orange lights under the buttons are leds already so they're a direct swap.
See the How To link in the Stickies. He has some good pics.

98-99 74.
the radio (BOSE) had 3mm led.
window switched 3mm
behind the climate control 3mm or 5mm I cant remember. Only the guage cluster is a direct swap everything else will take some soldering.

you guages can be modified to use the 194 bulbs but I dont know how, but I know its has been done, not too sure of the difficulty but worth alteast checking into.

The guages use bulbs not LEDs.
95-97 use type 194 bulbs (They make 194 bulbs which are made up of one or more leds. Don't confuse these with individual leds.)
==> 194 bulb made w leds
==> individual led
98-99 use type 74 bulbs (they fit a little loose, but they are the only size that fit w/o modification of the holes for the bulbs)
Most of the other switches and buttons in the interior do use leds though. Usually 3mm is better as they will fit most anywhere. 5mm can be too big for some places.

Just to clarify, my gauges are 100% custom and NOT direct fit replacement bulbs. If you want to do the same then you must use the 5mm leds and solder them to the back of the gauges. Last time I counted, I have upwards of 85 leds behind my guages. The reason for the high led count was due to the leds narrow viewing angle. Normally, the brighter you go, the smaller the viewing angle. In other words, the high led count is to prevent hotspots on the guages.
