symtoms of knock sensor failure.........?

i still kinda new here, so i was hopin some of the .org's elite/ more experienced, could help me out. i recently got a CEL light and dont know whats wrong. the car started really hard and sounded like something was grinding when it started. then the dreaded CEL light.
so im wondering if there are any symptoms of the knock sensor, which im thinking it is, that i should look for. i'll run some codes, but i wont be able to until monday. so help a brotha out

Check for the code and READ THE STICKIES. If you were to read the FAQ, than you would find the answer.

If your waiting because your getting it checked at a shop, read the stickies and check it at home...

ruffly.. but read the stickies
1. turn car to ON
2. turn ECU check screw to right til it stops wait for 2 secs and then back
3. count the flashes of the CEL

if the light showed up its not just the ks cuz that is a ghost code and doesnt trigger the cel

sorry, i did look in the stickies, but there is so much to go through and i had very little time, i was just looking for some help. im waiting til monday to take it to my old high school shop teacher, he'll let me run codes. but i'll have to look for how to do it at home. maybe tonight. thanks to pavelsmax for letting me know its more than knock if anything.

so i am a moron, i didnt even read the stickies titles, i admit it. but i ran the code and it looks like a 0215, wtf? check my new thread hopefully i get some answers
