The obvious question is: how long have you owned the car and what was the mileage when you bought? What do you mean by "I dont think I ever got a tune up ...". WTF, either you did or you didn't. How you wouldn't know makes no sense whatsoever.

Why don't you do us a favour - list what you have done, the mileage at the time, and when it was done. Absent that information, I would recommend doing everything to your car. Does that help?

I'm assuming you just aquired the car since you have no previoius knowledge of tune up's. Now a days normal shops consider just a simple spark plug change a tune up, but I think there's a lot more to it.
-oil change
-spark plugs
-transmission oil change
-radiator fluid change
-air filter change
-throttle body cleaning
-fuel filter change
-check ecu (knock sensor code is hidden)

Flush radiator coolant, replace transaxle gear oil if manual tranny, flush power steering fluid, check all belts and suspension components as well as exhaust etc. etc.
