NE1 with A'pexi WS catback system...

I currently have the World Sport cat back system but it's a little too quiet for my tastes. I still have the stock headers and y pipe but I am planning on getting the Warpspeed pipe after payday. I also have an Injen CAI and it sounds louder than the exhaust IMO. Is there anything else I can do to get a little more sound? I don't want to spend $600+ for headers just for sound. Any recommendations?

Get a new high flow cat as well. That will make it a little louder.

I know with a test/resonator pipe the car will not pass emissions in certain states. Are high flow cats the same?

Headers will also make it louder. I've got Cattman headers, test pipe and the Apexi WS catback and it is much too loud for me for everyday driving. It sounds awesome at WOT, though.

DJ, your avatar makes me nervous.

Depends on the guy you bring it to for inspections. My mechanic happens to be a rail drag racer, he runs my car for a while before he does the emissions test. Most high flow cats at operating temp are fine, just like the y-pipe addition, it takes out some pre-cats, but at operating temp it's fine.
If your mechanic is not a stickler, like ignoring my illegally tinted windows (illegal for florida, and now I'm in pa ), he probably won't care as long as he can still get it to pass with that analyzer. Depends on your guy, if you have one.

Unfortunatly "My guy" is the state. My car is registered in Delaware and the only place to get tested is at the DMV. Although my car does not have to go back for inspection for 2 years. In DE, you can register your car as far as 5 years in advance.
