is my engine ****ed?

Well recently I have had to fill my radiator up every day because I had a a hole in my radiator. I thought it was just my radiator. Well I replaced the radiator today and start the car no leaks. I let it idol for about 5 minutes and look under the car again looking for leaks, and coolant is pouring out of my oil pan looks like.

Could it be dripping from the water pump and then rolling off the oil pan???
If not one of more of my piston rings are gone right and its leaking into the oil pan?? If I change my oil and coolant comes out my motors ****ed right???

when I got home today i heard something vibrating, I thought oh **** its my engine. My car was off and my overflow tank was ratting for like 5 minutes after the car was off. WTF?? What the hell does that mean???

Help me I am so depressed.

Dont jump out of any windows just yet man.

It's most likely your water pump. Check your hoses too.

Even if it is your engine, which is unlikely, thats not anything to be depressed about.

It's a car. Things happen. And we're here for you. Get a good night sleep. Take out your tools. Pull the timing chain cover off and change your water pump.

Then get yourself a cold beer and watch some ****

This could be bad, you said you had to fill it everyday, but how many times did it overheat? If it overheated a few times you may have a problem.

If I filled it up everyday it never overheated. But I had to put like a gallon of water in every day. Exactly a gallon. Thats almost the whole radiator. Because the radiator is like 1 1/4 gallons.

I had a hole in my radiator and I have a leak somewhere else. I changed the radiator so I only have 1 leak now.

Well, good luck man, I hope it is just the water pump, (more than likely it would be)time to get under there and get to it!!! If it so happens you need another engine, God forbid, but they have some on ebay for decent $$.

if your rings were shot, there would still be no coolant leaking into the oil pan or the combustion chamber, the only way this could happen would be a blown head gasket which i seriously doubt you have to worry about. probably the water pump or the thermostat housing. check all the hoses for leaks also. have heater running full blast while you fill it also, this will help prevent large air bubbles in the system. fyi the cooling system on our cars purges itself.

you need new water pump and the 2 o-rings and some liquid gasket for the water pump drain plug which is right on the block its a semi deep hole , read up on h0w to do it because you can screw up and drop a screw it the timing chain cover , like i said its a a***** to do it because of the vq's compact design

Check all hose connections. have look carefully when car is running to visualize where it is comming from generally. then go from general area and start thinking whats in that area that could leak this fluid.

My appologies i may have misinformed you, our vqs do not have a purge valve unlike the older VEs which had one located on the intake manifold, or even the Vq30de-k/Vq35s have one also. So i *assumed* ours do self purge which may be a possiblity(maybe at the water pump)but i am unsure. What you DO need to do is fill it up with the engine cold, start it with the radiator cap off and the heat and fan on full blast until you see coolant flowing through the radiator cap opening, turn the engine off, let cool, fill agian if neccesarry. Start and repeat doing a couple of times until the coolant level no longer drops, this will ensure that there is no air trapped in the system, periodically squeezing the upper radiator hose in between steps (when it is cool and you have topped off the coolant) will speed up this process.

I had the same thing happen to me, dripping on the oil pan. I thought it was the water pump. Some mechanic said the block was cracked and said he sealed it temporarily. I wasn't able to see it though. I have a hunch he's lying. Anyway Good Luck.
