Don't resign yourself to that fate yet. You may have to pick one up in an adjacent state and just not restrict yourself to Oregon. Certainly there must be one for sale in California that meets your requirements. Keep on looking.

There must be a 97 or 98 out there with less than 100K on in that in very good shape. For example, I own a loaded 95SE, 5-speed, ABS, LSD, leather, sunroof, etc. with 58K on it, but its not for sale.

LOL

I have a month from today to find it. My currrent max will be sold by this weekend and I get out of school/work starts early June. So I could keep the new car until I find my dream SE...

A guy posted a thread about 2 or 3 weeks ago. He had a 95 or 96 Maxima with fewer miles on it than mine (but he was catching up fast). He picked it up about 2 years ago with something like 26K on it. It was owned by a little old lady who used the car mainly to go to the grocery store and bingo. I don't believe it was a 5-speed, but its just another example for you.

I would also search Nevada and Arizona where you would be more inclined to find a car with highway miles and less exposure to winter driving.

Go over to the Classified section. There's a 96SE, 5-speed in very good condition with 90K for $5,500 in Florida. Sounds like a good car, but may not have leather as the interior is not stated. If there's one in Florida, there must be one in California.

There you go, that's a clean southern California car. You're getting closer!
