I went to a shop today to order a Momo hub for a steering wheel I bought. I was asking the guy about replacing my steering wheel, he said that he wouldnt do it becuz 1. the airbag could go off, 2. he said that i could ruin the electrical stuff???. With the airbag, I will just disconnect my battery, and then it shouldn't explode... I hope. But is there any other possibilities of ruining something by doing this steering wheel swap?

shouldn't explode if you unhook the battery for at least 15mins, not sure bout the electrical part.

 

do it right and the airbag will not go off, i had my aftermarket steering wheel on for about a yr now with no problems at all. i mean how can you ruin electrical stuff? no more cruse control, but who really uses that? besides that, i think you should be ok. by the way, whay kind/style did you get?

 

i got the Nismo one, leather and aluminum, ill post pix after im done. wont be for bout 2 weeks though, cuz i just ordered the hub.
