did they make locking auto trannys?
did they make locking auto trannys?
I been looking around for new tranny to replace my leaking smoking non 3rd or 4th gear having auto and i have seen a few that clam to be locking autos is this true and would there be any plus's in getting a locking auto thanny? all i would need is new alxels right?
You wouldnt need new axles (assuming the inputs are the same size with same amount of teeth). There must have been some locking trannies cause everytime I search for a tranny they ask if its locking or not. Non Locking (open diff) is good and helps with traction, a locking diff could give you some trouble if you take a corner too fast.
locking diff would probably give you more understeer than you'd want (assuming you took corner a bit faster than normal).
