even if it is BOSE? I took apart the deck not knowing the size and took my 6x9's out my 3rg gen to improve the sound and WHAM!!!!!! these did not fit... i was tight... to take apart that deck is quite the obstacle... and then to find out that they dont fit... can you say FUSTRATION!!!!! anyhow... if they are 6.5 not bad I guess... will aftermarkets fit and connect to the BOSE amps???

BOSE system is 1 ohm, most others are 2 ohm or higher, so you have to replace everything or buy the expensive BOSE parts, i blew 2 amps on my bose and just went for a new deck and infinity speakers.

what do you mean, "went with a new deck"? I want to replace the BOSE speakers on my deck and doors.... where do I begin? what are the best speakers to put.. with possibly, utilizing the BOSE amps for the time being...

your bose amps are mounted directly to your speakers, and they have a 1 ohm resistance, there is NO deck or speakers with that resistance unless you get bose. I looked all over and can't find any speakers or decks lower than 2 ohm, so you either stick with all bose or get something different and the speakers are 6.5" fyi

6.5" will work because they have the slotted holes to allow for a larger diameter pattern but the real size is 6.75". I know, I just did the research and just replaced mine.

My se didn't have the bose. When I pulled them out and measured them they were 6.5".
I recommend 6.5" infinity kappa's front and back. That's what I used.

6.5", 6.75" and 7" are usually interchangeable without adapters, which is why different places might tell you different things. However, the best fitting size and the intended size is 6.75". Most speakers that say 7" are actually really 6.75". For example, http://www.cardomain.com/item/PIOTSA1780R?vq_id=none

To jaemax-Elemenatal Designs 6500's -best set you aregonna find in the sub $350 catagory. WELL WORTH IT. Ditch the rears, and get a sub and good front stage and call it a day. The bose is class A garbage. Bose is a company that sells crap to those who don't know anybetter. People see BOSE and go "OOOOOOH BOOOOSE." Many people unfortunately have never heard true high fidelity and don't know what they are missing. They think that BOSE is a Hifi comapny. There are TONS of other companies out there that wipe the floor with BOSE, Both for Home and car audio especially for the price. Now If only magnepan sold speakers for car audio........

I agree absolutely 100%. Everybody has a budget, some can't afford great speakers, but in no case is BOSE efficient money-wise.
