daniel b. question for you about ac compressor
Posted a service question the other day. not sure if you saw it. I described in a post that i had been hearing a water running through pipes sound in my car. The sound is also heard outside the car. i thought it was a loose heat shield. Took it to the dealer and they said it was the tensioner pulley. THey were pretty honest and said that when they put the new tensioner on the sound was still there. And they said the old tensioner was still good. so they got their top nissan mechanic. He look around and said right away that it was the ac compressor. He said likely the compressor had worn out bearings or somthing. And guess what they sell rebuilt ac compressors. I assume they must go out pretty often if they have rebuilt ones.
so my question for you is......do you have any experience with this specific problem? or do you have any thoughts??
