around 1850 annually, with maximum limits/minimum deductibles on everything they offer (uninsured motorist w/economic loss to 300K, 100 ded. on comp, 250 on collision, 250/500 on liability with an added 1M liability umbrella on my homeowners, max med pay, towing/hotels, etc.).

i'm 47, and have a perfect record over the last 10+ years.

and new orleans is pretty high on insurance rates, too. but then my car insurance PALES in comparison to my howmowners insurance - over 5K a year... OUCH!!!

hurricanes will do that to your rates...

when i did my taxes, i figured for 2 cars, the house, and health ins. (wife and i are both self employed), i spent over 16K on insurance last year.

mine went up to $289 a month thats why i had to sell her but i wound up getting my new love the Eclipse and pay $110 sense its only liability and i dont have a loan on it so it doesnt require full coverage like my max did.

That sounds pretty cheap to me! Insurance costs waaay too much up here...I just got a quote online of $5700! Cheaper than it was before but when I switch the car into my name I'm going to rake up a lot of debt! I'm only 20 now so I'll probably have to wait 5 years until its actually affordable.

$1500 per year. That includes the Maxima and a Dakota for both my wife and I. 100k/300k/100k, roadside, rental, overnight, unnisured motorist. 8 accidents in the last ten years between us, none our fault. 10 tickets in the last ten years. None on the record, all but four were dismissed by the court. No traffic school. Discounts for security systems, ect. Join the armed forces, get good insurance.

About $1050 a year when I was on my parent's, now I'm on my own policy and it's about $1450 a year with full coverage at age 22 with 21st Century insurance.

No tickets, no accidents, clean as a whistle. I wish it'd be cheaper with such a clean driving record

$150/ month
Nationwide

Under mom's name, home owner insurance discount, driver education discount, safe driver discount, 0 tickets, 1 accidents (1 not @ fault), 22 years old.

500/500 deductible (collision/comprehensive), full tort

Money received from insurance = $0 (my car had no damage after the accident)
Money paid for a piece of paper in car that says nationwide on it = Several thousand $$$$ I'm really getting screwed here I don't get it

I pay about $800 a year for PL/PD. I have one or two at fault accidents depending on how you look at it and one speeding ticket. I got a deal because its a family friend otherwise it would be at least $1600 a year. I'm in Michigan btw
