S2K antenna mod

dont know what happened to my other post but here it goes. ordered a S2000 antenna from ebay. got it in over the weekend and installed the sucker. dont have a write up cause i was too lazy to take pics. whole process took about an hour just trimming and fitting. pretty much all i did was cut the antenna own, screwed the new antenna into a section of the antenna that would fit. then used tons of loctite to keep it in.

It makes your car look like a ginormous walkie talkie lol I hope the people around where you live arent inclined to break antennas because i'm sure I would get mine broken if it didnt go down.

would of shaved it, but this is a cheaper solution to a semi-extended antenna.

how is an antenna rice? its not like im putting a fuba on the roof or anything. and this actually works vs a fakie antenna.

and i live in an upscale neighborhood where the average child is 7-8yrs old so i hope it never gets yanked on.

Mine is simply disabled. The exterior antenna doesn't do much to help vs. the interior one anyway. With it disabled I still get perfect reception in the few hours a year I actually listen to the radio. When it's down it's smaller than that is too.

Doesn't look too bad, better than the monstrous stock one.

IMO it doesn't fit with the car, but it doesn't look bad per se.

I'd have to say I looked at this mod earlier, it looks good on DC2s and the like but really doesn't fit with the maxima, so I stayed away. Some people mod just to mod and make their car unique--I mod to make the car better.
