quick question

hey guys sometimes when i shift its hard to get in gear but it still goes into gear just with a lil bit of force and other times it shifts smoothly.....Does anybody know what the problem can be??? Thanks

Could be the syncros? Or possibly a bearing? Just a couple ideas.

Have you tried double-clutching or rev matching to see if that helps? That might point to bad synchros. How about the tranny fluid? I know when my fluid warms up after driving for a bit, all the shifts are smoother.

Another question, is it while the car is cold? This is pretty normal. You need to wait until the gear oil warms up.

You might as well get use to it... I asked around in a previous post (3 pages of input) and at least on 95-96 that first gear, have us *maybe not all* double clutching or down to second then first.

note: it happens same whether cold or warm. My synchros are fine as well as my t/o bearing.

in all gears, feels like theres like something in the way of lettin it get into gear i dunno tho...yah its fine now but ive been driving it for about an hour so maybe it is the hot/cold shiit, but its on and off

^^ this is a total different story.. on the post i made every1 was experience it only to get into 1st. that's it.

Whats tranny fluid is best for our cars?? isnt it like redline 7 or sumthing like that?

shiit guys ahhaha false code......i just looked at it today and my floor matt was like rolled up underneathe my clutch so it wudnt go down all the way so thats why it was hard shifting.....i fixed the floor matt and it feels normal again ahahaha my bad im a dumbass

what ever it is you can probably get it checked out for free if you find one of those places that will do free checkups on your car like Pep-boys or something.
