00 vi

00 vi

ok dudes i just found a 2000 maxima at the local yard and it has about 50k miles on it. but it also has vi. so what do i need to take off of it to get the complete swap into my 97. i know i need the upper and the lower, as well as the fuel rail. but what else

Get the rear valve cover if you don't want to grind down yours and it will help with the pvc valve, also get the 00 egr guide tube if your keeping it, and the 5th gen throttle body if you don't want to make any adaptors, and bolts if you can get them. Thats all I can think of right now if I think of something else I will let you know

StephenMax has compiled 4 or so threads pertaining to the 00vi swap in the Stickies of the All motor forum. There is no standard way to do this so you need to read up bigtime. So far, it seems pretty complicated to me. But if you have a chance to get the manifold for cheap, I say go for it.
