Quick: Adjustable or not.

Just finished putting the 97 Lid on the car and It closes fine like it was the original trunk but with the unlock button (in car or keyless fob) it wont open even if I pull on the lid, when I use the key it opens easy no problems, I'm using my original bottom latch with the new lid, should I get bottom latch to match and that should cure the problem, or does it maybe need some adjusting.

I ask in a hurry becasue if I would need the bottom latch, I'll need to PM Max2Speed to try and get that from him as I'm an hour or so away from hitting to road for atlanta.

Thanks for the help.

Have you tried to lock it with the trunk open w/ a screwdriver then release with the button? Just to see if it an alignment problem or a latch problem.

I'm not quite sure what your explaining.

It closes perfectly, no extra for or anything is needed, only problem is when I go to unlock with the keyless or on door, it doesnt work, even when I hit the unlock and pull up on the trunk, it still doesnt open.

I got what your saying. But I would try to lock it with a screwdriver instead of the trunk itself. We need to figure out if it's a problem with the latch it self or the design of the new striker on the trunk lid. If it opens electronicly when you lock it with a screwdriver then you know it related to the striker on the trunk or alignment of the striker.

look where the striker pushes down the leaver on the body latch and just use a screwdriver and puch the leaver down until it locks. Then hit the remote or press the button. See if the latch opens.
