did you get a cel code for your egr valve?

a few months ago i got 2 codes egr valve and knock sensor, so i removed and cleaned my egr valve as well as the upper intake manifold (it was full of black carbon built up that is caused by bad cheap gas) anyways after i cleaned everything i reinstalled everything and cleared the code and the car ran great and never had a problem since. the egr valve isnt an electronic part its mechanical there is a probe inside the egr valve, that probe generally wont go bad if the egr valve is plugged up that senor is trigger for some reason and therefor you get a cel for the egr valve and that doesnt mean the egr valve is bad or needs to be replaced

yes... i got a cel light for the egr... so if i clean it will it work fine again??? because right now my performance is horrible so im guessing its clogged up... how do i take it off?? is it easy??

oh and by the way which rims are those on ur car... they are niiiiiice...

well in your case i cant say for sure if the whole cause is that youe egr valve is plugged up in my case it was plugged up and i cleaned it and it worked fit.

are you getting really bad gas mileage right now and bad acceleration?

its not hard to take off with the right tools and some know how

you should get one of those maxima books and use the directions in there so you can take the egr valve off and clean it
