Sunroof Rebuild kit? Does it come with the complete rail assembly? ATTN: Deezo

I am wondering if the Clay Nissan sunroof rebuild kit come complete with the whole rail(Guide) assemby? Mainly the cable and the little "bracket" that the cable goes through on the rail(Guide)? My cable was pulled out from the little bracket and the bracket is also broken. I couldnt find anything from searching, but I did look at the 4th geb TSB's and I get the impression that is what is included. Just need to clarify.

Thanks,

-Nick

no it does not include the rails themselves. Just the plastic parts that break a lot.

I just had my sunroof bite the bullet so I got one from a 99. It's a different design. Much much more sturdy. Or it seemed. I should have saved my rails for you but they're in the dump.

Do you know if it comes with the little "mount"/bracket that the actual cable goes through on the rail.. I really hope so or else I am SOL.

I dont think so. Look on www.car-part.com and see if there are any sunroofs near you. That's what I did. I dont know about wisconsin but there are a lot of junkyards where I live.

Maybe you can repair or fabricate something. There are plastic weld kits and lots of very strong epoxies that might work. If you have a picture maybe someone here can give you an idea. Or email it to me at PAREDLINE@aol.com

Check this out:

1998
Sun Roof Includes T-Top
Nissan Maxima -ASSM W50458 $100.1
LKQ - Smart Parts USA-WI(Hustisford) E-mail 1-800-349-5850

$100 for an assembly is dirt cheap. I paid 170 for mine including the glass.
