I hope you guys know that there is no guarantee that you will pass smog with any Y-pipe, even if you drive the car for 30 mins and let it idle while the smog tech sets up to test your car. Keep your old y-pipes. I have also read that some who have gone aftermarket y-pipes, eventually end up with a dead or dying catalytic converter. Be ready for that. Also, flex joints go bad in time. How long would a flex on a $100 y-pipe last??? Be prepared for those issues too. Like someone had mentioned, you get what you pay for. The same goes for clothes and other stuff.

Yes that is definitrely true, that is why I plan to get my rear O2 replaced (it made me fail emissions last week) then go hand have my car retested and hopefully pass, THEN install my new ypipe so that I won't have to deal with another fail of emissions. But then again I was told that if a certified person were to replace my O2 and it failed emissions again they could write me a waiver or something like that... anyone know what i'm talking about?

Emission laws differ from state to state. I know Nevada has that law, California doesn't. Check with your local DMV for that. If you pass smog now, then put the y-pipe after. That's fine but what about the next smog test??? Save your old y-pipe.

I would tuck the OEM y-pipe away in the box the aftermarket y-pipe came in and store it away in a safe place. They are expensive. I read last week where some .orgers said their dad's tossed the OEM y-pipe out because they were tired of them lying around.

I don't know what they cost in the US, but I priced the replacement cost of mine out last year when my Budget y-pipe was on order and it was about Cdn$1,200 including taxes. So in the US, through the stealership, they must be at least US$800 - $900.

Hope it works out for you.

What if the first people to order Budgets or Warpspeeds felt the same way as you?

P.s. A couple = 2.

exactly, if no one took the risk of trying warpspeed and budget, then we'd all be purchasing 300 dollar pipes from stillen. some have to be the test monkeys lol.
