to the people running stock intake...
...do you leave the snorkel thing on or off? or do you have the resonator on the bottom of the snorkel connected or disconnected?
Another stock intake thread!!!!!
I screwed with mine only to regret it. I make short trips so I like the instant low end power provided by the stock.
We all just covered this.
Come on dave...
do it, do it, do it

Leave the stock intake as it is, but open it up slightly so it breaths better.
The elbow just after the snorkle goes to a resonator box under the battery tray. Take that box out of the car and make swiss cheese out of the side that sits against the inner fender wall. Put it back in and the stock intake now has another source for air.
Most of the stock intake has piping large enough to flow a good amount of air into the TB. The restriction is at the snorkle, so by providing another source of air for the intake right after the snorkle, you give the VQ room to breath. There is no increase in noise, no loss of low end power and according to the dyno butt and a few other org members who have driven my car
nice smooth power right up to red line.
I call that setup the hidden OSCAI, you can't see or hear it, you just feel it.

No guys, I don't want maximazation banned.
Dave Sz got quite nasty with me in that other thread.
By "Come on dave" I am daring Dave Sz to go over the line and get banned for a week.
I can see how what I wrote could have been misinterpreted.
You have my apologies for the confusion.
