Exhaust Hanger Is Rusted!

I have the stock/factory exhaust system on my car right now. One hanger for the Y-Pipe is totally rusted off. So right now I just have one hanger on one side of the Y-Pipe. The Stillen Y-Pipe I got today doesn't have any hangers welded on to it. What did you guys do about the hangers when you got your aftermarket Y-Pipes?

Any exhaust shop will be able to make a hanger for you. WSP provides hangers with there Y-pipes, I'm suprise Stillen doesn't.

Yeah your exhaust shop should make you some hangers when you get it installed. Should have no problems.

Ok, what if I want to install the Y-Pipe myself? If that is even possible at this point...

Yeh it should be...just go to shop have them look at your y-pipe and measure the size hangers you will need and im sure they will make you some for like 10 bucks.

I'm sorry I don't have a picture of it right now. It's between the flex section of the Y-Pipe and the front of the main cat. It's underneath a shield (which mine broke off). The hanger is welded on to the Y-Pipe and then connects to a rubber piece.

So, you think my best bet would be to install the Y-Pipe and then bring it to an exhaust shop so they can fabricate a hanger(s)?

What? He asked about cat. converters, not test pipes.

Yes, my main cat is rusted really bad and it smells a little bit. I want to go with a HighFlow Cat, but wondering if the Budget cat is any good?

I bought a brand new bracket from Nissan... cost me 50 bucks but at least its not a welded piece thats permanent now. It would have been nice if somebody told me I'd need a bunch of new brackets and hangers before I started the project though.

I thought all the y-pipes came with hangers welded on. Did you buy it used?

I know the WarpSpeed does, I'm unsure about the Budget, and my Stillen doesn't have a bracket. I did buy it used, it was only used for a couple days. It's in mint condition.

I believe this is the hanger bracket that he is talking about. It is a separate piece from the exhaust and utilizes the same bolts at the cat-y-pipe connection.

I purchased the CE y-pipe (no choice at the time) and I had to buy a new bracket because as you can see, my old was rusted to my old exhaust. So the bracket is used on both stock and aftermarket pipes.

Thank you my man dukelubas! That is the exact thing I'm talking about. So your saying I can go to the dealership and buy a new bracket and it will fit on my Y-Pipe. Thanks again...
