I'm hoping someone out there can help me decipher whats happening to my auto. The car runs like a champ with the exception of a cold hard starting problem. The two codes the scanner generates are P0105 "map/baro circuit malfuntion" and P1105" manufacturer error air metering malfunction". I picked up from a junkyarf an absolute pressure sensor and a MAP/BARO solenoid valve. Neither of these got rid of the codes. One interesting point to note, the scan tool measures the MAP at 0.3" hg all the time. I'm sure the pressure should be changing as the load increases and decreases. Again, the car runs great but I can't pass the emission test with the CEL on. What's the problem?

 

Found the problem. I was not getting 5 volts at terminal 3 of the connector going to the absolute pressure sensor. After a little searching I found the wire broken at the point where the 3 sensor wires join a larger harness.
