Auto Shift **** question....

I was wondering, is it true that if you take off your stock auto shifter that it cant be put back on. And if I wanted it back on I would have to buy a whole new shifter assembly? Also would an aftermarket shift **** that claims to fit shifter stem diameters from 5/16" to 9/16" (8mm -15mm) fit on my car? I just want to know before i purchase anything Thanks in advance!!!!

Nah I pretty sure it goes back no worries...

About month ago there were heaps of threads on custom Autoshifters, or chopping the stock one down to reduce height.... try going back about 20+ odd pages should be a whole lot there..

Thanks for the help guys!!! I tried searching for it yesterday but had no luck. So according to that thread I can just remove the center piece by prying on it and pulling up? Thanks again

yes BUT look where the clips are, the way they say it, sounds like the clips are on the front not the side.
